Message from Dr Patrick Sookhdeo, International Director of Barnabas Aid
Dear Barnabas supporter,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are very grateful for the feedback we receive from time to time about the materials we produce. Thank you very much for all your comments. In response to suggestions from some supporters, we have decided to change the way we keep you informed about the persecuted Church via email. We are aware that many of your inboxes are full of emails that you don’t have enough time to read, and we appreciate that you have to prioritise the most important and timely.
We are therefore going to make our weekly news report, which is normally sent out on a Thursday, the only email you will receive from us in a typical week. It will be a comprehensive summary, called Barnabas Persecution Update:
- Details of the latest needs and Barnabas Aid campaigns, when these occur, will now feature as part of this email rather than being sent out separately. There will be opportunities for you to give or help in other ways if you are able.
- The latest international news and links to Operation Nehemiah stories will continue to be included.
- We will also provide updates on how your support is making a difference to our persecuted brothers and sisters throughout the world.

Each item will be displayed in the current format, with the essential details contained in a headline and introduction, followed by a link for you to click that will take you to the full story on our website.
Occasionally, when a major humanitarian emergency arises, and your prayers and financial support are needed urgently, we may send a separate short email about this.
Some of you will receive extra emails: for example, if you have requested the monthly Prayer Focus Update; we also send occasional newsletters to those who have given financial support to particular projects; occasional event invitations may also be sent to supporters in certain geographical areas.
We are immensely thankful for your ongoing prayers and support, and hope that this new comprehensive approach will best serve you with both the information and opportunities you need to help our suffering brothers and sisters.
With our Lord’s blessings
Dr Patrick Sookhdeo International Director of Barnabas Aid
