The need for buildings is often one of the most obvious in impoverished Christian communities, whether it is for a church building, a clinic, a school, a Bible college or a vocational training centre. Moreover, in some cultural contexts a dedicated church building has an importance that goes beyond the practical need for a venue in which a large congregation can meet. In such contexts it is vital for Christian outreach to have an appropriate building to which people can be invited.
Over the years Barnabas Aid has assisted in the construction, expansion or equipping of many church buildings in a variety of countries, often when the poor Christian community has been unable to complete the project for lack of resources. Barnabas Aid has also assisted in the construction or renovation of schools, student hostels, clinics/maternity homes, Bible colleges, safe houses/refuges and workplaces for income generation development schemes.
