Sign up nowParts of Mali are now at the highest alert level of food insecurity, meaning that famine has become a possibility in some parts of the country. The situation is largely driven by conflict caused by Islamist terrorists who are also active in neighbouring Burkina Faso and Niger, along with other countries in the region. Almost 1.4 million people in Mali are on course to suffer “acute food insecurity”, with more than 120,000 at risk of “emergency levels” of food shortages. Ask that the Lord will provide for the hungry and bring peace to this troubled land. Pray that He will sustain the faith of Mali’s small Christian community.
