We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is the Triune God who is the creator, redeemer, sustainer and judge of all things.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is both fully divine and fully human – God the Son. He is the only sinless human being who ever lived. His life, death and resurrection are the sole grounds for our being reconciled to God. Those who by God’s grace, in repentance, put their faith in Christ alone will be saved.
We believe in the Holy Spirit whom the Father sent after the risen Son ascended to heaven. It is He who convicts the world about sin, about righteousness and about judgment; He who transforms and sanctifies believers; He who empowers the Church for its mission.
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Bible as God’s Word and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe that all people are made in the image of God and therefore equal. They are created to love, serve, worship and enjoy God. They are entrusted with the stewardship of God’s creation. They are made either male or female, the only place for sexual union being within marriage. We uphold a traditional Biblical ethic of sexuality and marriage.
We believe that all humanity, and consequently all creation, is fallen and can only be redeemed by the saving work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the universal Church is made up of Christian believers from across the world. Followers of Christ have a duty to demonstrate love to all people but have a special duty of care towards their brothers and sisters in Christ (Matt 25:31-46; Galatians 6:10).
We believe in the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory. He will be the judge of all people who have ever lived. He will reign eternally over the creation which he has redeemed.
