Every doctor in the hospital had Covid simultaneously – that was the appalling situation in a Christian hospital in Uganda earlier this year. Africa is still in desperate need of basic PPE equipment – equipment that will save lives.
The Easter season is all about new life. The Lord Jesus died for our sins and rose to life, never to die again. Because of Easter, we have the sure and certain hope of eternal life.
Praise God that Barnabas Fund has been given around 50 million pieces of life-saving Covid PPE by a Western government, worth £25 million ($33m; €30m). Barnabas Fund’s role is to transport the PPE in 40 shipping containers to Christian hospitals who are eagerly waiting in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
First container on its way
The door-to-door transport of the contents of one shipping container will cost about £12,000 ($16,000; €14,000). The first container has left from Dublin, bound for Kenya.
Can you donate to help cover the costs of sending this vital PPE to where it is so desperately needed? The shipping costs are just one penny for each piece of PPE.
Saving lives
Through our medical.gives and food.gives projects, we are providing for the needs of suffering Christians around the world. With God’s help and yours we are sending food and medical aid from the US, UK, Australia and South Africa to Ukraine, Pakistan, the Middle East, Tonga, and several African countries.
Can you help keep these vital supplies flowing around the world?
Symbol of life and hope
Traditional Easter decorations are full of eggs, chicks, baby animals, spring flowers – all signifying new life and new hope.
A large steel shipping container may not seem like a symbol of Easter …
… but Barnabas Fund’s shipping containers are all about life and hope. For they are filled with life-saving food and medical items, donated to Barnabas Fund and shipped by us to Christian brothers and sisters whose lives are threatened by hunger or disease.
Your Easter gift could save a life
In a world racked by Covid, natural disasters, violence and hunger the need to sustain our Christian brothers and sisters has never been greater.
As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, please make an Easter gift to send life-saving aid to Christians around the world who suffer from poverty and persecution.
Literally every penny counts.
