Fear and uncertainty. That’s what our contacts tell us the Christian community of Lebanon is experiencing as conflict continues to rage around them.
The violence in parts of the country has escalated to include daytime strikes, disrupting daily life and impacting churches, community centres and medical clinics.
Amid these challenges, we continue to provide care and comfort to those affected, but the situation is growing more difficult with each passing day.
Displaced Christians may not be able to return home
The number of Christians who have fled from their homes because of airstrikes in southern Lebanon or Beirut continues to rise.
“People have lost homes and jobs,” said one of Barnabas Aid’s Lebanese project partners. “They have lost any financial help that they would usually receive.”
“Winter is coming, and we don’t know whether they will have to stay here or not,” she continued.

As the body of Christ, we are called to stand with our brothers and sisters in Lebanon. Your support can provide essential aid – food, healthcare and hope to those who need it most.
Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these women and children, sharing the love of Christ in their time of great need.
Demonstrating the light of Christ
We invite you to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to this urgent mission. Your generosity will help restore dignity and bring the light of Christ to those who are suffering.
We would also like to ask you to pray for God’s presence to bring strength to those affected. Please pray for peace in Lebanon, and for wisdom among leaders to restore stability.
As the psalmist reminds us, “The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted” (Psalm 104:16).
