The foundations of a church in Kazakhstan have been secured against flooding as a result of funding from Barnabas.

We paid a specialist company to seal the basement that, every spring for the last ten years, has been inundated by melted snow and rising groundwater levels.

“This will allow the church to stand for years to come,” said a spokesman.

Barnabas-funded work underway on the church basement

The church, which has faced intimidation by the authorities in recent years, started more than 30 years ago when Christians, including converts from Islam, began meeting in libraries and halls. Construction of the church building was completed in 2018.

Membership of the church now numbers around 150 adults and 45 children/young people.

Give thanks for the successful conclusion of the repairs project, securing the church building for years to come. Pray that the Church in Kazakhstan will continue to grow and more people will hear and understand the joy of God’s Word.
