More than 800 Christian families in need in Jordan have been sustained with food.gives boxes filled by Barnabas Aid supporters.
The boxes were distributed among impoverished Iraqi and Yemeni refugees as well as to Jordanians.
Our project partner said the food boxes were especially welcomed by the recipients because the dried food “makes large meals and is filling with good nutritional value.”
Jordan hosts around 730,000 registered refugees, though the true number could be as many as three million.
Under the kingdom’s laws, refugees are not allowed to work, leaving many reliant on aid from churches and Christian NGOs.
Unemployment and food prices are rising in Jordan. Many Jordanian families have fallen below the poverty line and struggle to feed their families.
Give thanks for the safe arrival and distribution of the food boxes in Jordan. Ask the Lord to meet the needs of impoverished Christians in Jordan and for refugees to be given a more secure status.
