Death and destruction have erupted in the Holy Land, where our Lord Jesus lived His earthly life. In the last few days, many hundreds of people have died, thousands have been injured, and countless buildings have been destroyed.
The situation is grave in Israel and Gaza, as well as in the West Bank, which is not involved in the conflict. No one is allowed in or out of Bethlehem, and there are already shortages of flour, dairy products and petrol. Many schools are closed.
Many Christians have sought refuge in the Holy Land after fleeing persecution in parts of Africa. Now they have been retraumatised by the extreme violence that has broken out in the country where they sought safety. Can you help provide for them and other suffering Christians?
Christians living in all these regions pray for safety. They ask their Lord and Saviour, the Prince of Peace, to bring an end to the violence. Please add your prayers to theirs.
