Sixteen tonnes of lentils, chickpeas, flour and rice were delivered to 1,008 Christian families in Fiji through Barnabas Aid’s food.gives project.
The aid provided our impoverished brothers and sisters with an estimated 120,960 servings of food.
“We are so grateful to God for providing us with food through the generosity of the Barnabas group,” said Grace, whose family of seven were among the recipients. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
Many basic necessities are becoming unaffordable for our brothers and sisters in Fiji. Food prices have increased by 30%, electricity and water costs have risen by 25% over the past year, and soaring fuel and housing prices have also added to the difficulty they face.
This delivery – of vital importance to thousands of Fijian Christians – is just a small part of the work of food.gives. So far in 2024 we have already provided more than 3.5 million servings of food to believers in lands of scarcity and poverty.
Join us in giving thanks that we have been able to help our hungry brothers and sisters in this way. Pray for the continued success, by God’s grace, of our food.gives project.
